Dear Cowan Blackhawk Families,
I want to first share how proud I am of our students for working so hard on their NWEA assessments or ILEARN assessments these last few weeks. I saw more students giving it their best effort this year than I have before. Thank you to the parents that sent in encouraging notes to their students, too. I know they enjoyed reading them before taking their tests.
Thank you so much for helping raise money for a rock wall with our recent Paragon Promotions fundraiser. Here is an exciting rock wall update. Community members donated a total of $7,363.00 for our rock wall project. Our students sold $20,756 worth of items from our school-wide fundraiser. This means our school profited $8,400. Absolutely amazing! I am extremely proud of our students, families and community members! Thank you for helping us reach our goal! That’s right…the rock wall has been ordered and will be installed over the summer. Our students will get to use it during P.E. starting in August!
We are in our final countdown until summer vacation! Have a great couple of weeks!
Sincerely,
Lendon D. Schwartz, Principal
