Welcome to Mrs. Murphy's Classroom!

I have been teaching at Cowan for 21 years!  I started out in Kindergarten for 8 years, moved to 3rd for a few years, but have found my true home in First Grade!  We are going to learn and grow so much this year.  I have high expectations for this upcoming group of Munchkins!!!!

I'm a proud firefighter wife!  My husband is on Muncie Fire Department, and makes countless sacrifices for our family.  He is my hero. 
I have two children of my own.  Noah is 25, and is an Infantryman for the Army.  He is stationed at Fort Stewart, GA.  He has grown up to be an amazing young man.  I couldn't be prouder.   I now have two heroes in the family.  Mckenna is 12, and is in 6th Grade this year at Monroe Central. I can't believe how amazing she has become!  I can't believe how fast time flies!   We will be amazed at how much they will grow this year!
