Hello My Name Is...

Jen Southerland

I recently started teaching 3rd grade at Cowan after 4 years of 1st grade 
in another school system.  Before that, I was a school counselor in Schweinfurt, Germany, for 3 years as my husband was an officer in the U.S. Army.  I have one son attending Ball State, one at I.U., and my daughter attends Delta High School.  I love to run, bike, swim, cook and travel.  I look forward to another fabulous year at Cowan, where we build a classroom of responsible, hard-working students that enjoy the process of learning!
