5th and 6th Grade use a card system to manage student behavior. Students will "pull a card" when a rule has been broken. Each card color represents a new consequence as follows:
Blue Card: warning, no consequence
Green Card: walk laps during bonus time
Purple Card: after school detention
Yellow Card: lunch room isolation, no bonus time
Pink Card: lunch and bonus time in detention in the office
Neon Green Card: after school detention
Neon Pink Card: Tardy card
Students will pull cards in the order of the colors above. Notice how the consequences increase in severity. Each student starts with a clean slate on Monday. The neon pink card will be used to tally tardies as students transition between classes. If being tardy is a continual struggle for a student, a consequence may be necessary.
