Homework

Homework

This year I am trying out something new in our classroom: a No Homework philosophy. There will be no specific homework assigned this year. That being said, there will be weekly spelling tests, math fact tests, and vocabulary tests which students will be responsible for studying/practicing for throughout the week. I am excited to work on some goal setting with the students when it comes to how much or how little they need to practice this skills.

Here are some other great ways for you to support your child's learning at home instead of through traditional homework:
Reading aloud
Playing outside
Playing board games/puzzles
Creating art/coloring pages

In your child's binder is a list of their usernames & passwords for different online resources we use here at school. These are great tools to help support their learning at home too! These include: Lexia, Prodigy, RAZ Kids, and Typing Agent.
