Free/Reduced Lunch and Textbook Applications are now available for the 2022-23 school year.  Families are strongly encouraged to apply if you believe you might be eligible.  Apply here.

New transfer applications for students living out of the district should be completed on the transfer student page as soon as possible.

New families living in the district should contact their respective building office to share their student information.

Welcome

Welcome to Cowan Community Schools!  Cowan is located a few short miles south of Muncie, Indiana.  Cowan School Corporation is made up of Monroe Township in Delaware County.  The enrollment is approximately 820 students in grades K-12.

Last year, Cowan Community Schools, Cowan Elementary School, and Cowan Jr./Sr. High School all received a B Rating from the Indiana Department of Education. 

Cowan is a member of the Muncie Area Career Center and the Delaware-Blackford Special Education Cooperative.
